Integration of Numerical Models in the Global Coronal Model PreviousNext
GX Simulator > Magnetic Field Models > Importing External Magnetic Field Models >

When embedding a model having intrinsic numerical thermal electron density ant tempearture models into the global coronal model , GX_Simulator offers the option of replacing the analytical defined coronal density and temperatures by the numerical values, or blends the numerical coronal models based on a formula taking into account partial plasma pressures corresponding to the the numerical and analytical models.

When the option Blend Analytical And Numerical Coronal Models is selected, GX_simulator computes for each voxel a density-temperature pair n-T according to:

n= n1+n2

T=(n1*T1+n2*T2)/(n1+n2)
