Embedded systems, sensor networks, autonomous vehicles, nonlinear optimization, network intrusion detection, infrared imaging, genetic algorithms, scheduling, computer arithmetic, and neural networks.
Authored or co-authored more than 80 technical papers and book chapters in his research areas.
Co-author of the book, Computational Intelligence for Optimization, Kluwer Academic Press, 1997.
Participated in research grants in excess of $2 million as PI or co-PI.
