Abstract:
The interactions between neutral particles at large distances is of
interest for scattering and for spectroscopy in atomic, molecular, and optical
physics. I will discuss some recent advances and applications and some simple
physical models. New calculations from nuclear physics make it possible to
extend the analysis to neutrons and I will discuss some results.
