Recently, strong field THz sources have attracted
great interest as a powerful tool in exciting ultrafast dynamics by phonons
resonant mode, non-resonant interactions, nonlinear spectroscopy, free electron
acceleration, high-harmonic generation, etc. This talk will focus on strong-field THz
sources via laser-induced plasma in various materials. By comparing THz emission from gas and solid
sources, the unique properties of THz emission from liquid will be discussed in
detail. This talk aims to provide a
concise overview of the fundamental principles, generation mechanisms, and
diverse applications of plasma-based broadband THz wave emission, emphasizing
their transformative potential in advancing both research and technology.
