Seeking A Nation - A Warrior's Journey

Looking out over the plains, you can spy the enormous mountain upon which the capital sits from a distance, towering over any other feature of the landscape with a prominent magnificence. To walk up such a mountain would be certain peril, and the only trails going up to the capital are only allowed for use by merchants. Hearing a bit of noise behind you, you turn and see an old man with a rickety cart full of trinkets, pulled along by a tired looking mule. You soon find out he is headed for the capital to sell his antiques, and that he could use some company to share stories of his adventurous youth along the way.

What will you do?
Scale the mountain by hand and footWait for a sturdier cart to pass by
Endure the old man's stories and pray the cart survivesLook for alternate means of reaching the capital
