There is little you can do if the money is not here with the man, but you do not trust him as far as you can throw him, and his prominent belly tells you of how short that distance would be. Explaining that you will wait for him the office, you wait a few minutes with the innkeeper gone before you hear a rapping of the knuckles on the door. Opening the door with a smile, the color soon drains from your face as you spy the company of fiendish-looking men sporting swords and daggers before you, and with your weapon up in your room, your resistance is futile and short-lived.
