I have been working on ADIOS: Adaptable I/O System since 2009, and I am one of the core creators and maintainers (with Norbert Podhorszki, Scott Klasky) of ADIOS. The project has been a large community effort including Georgia Tech, Rutgers University, Stony Brook University, NCSU, Lawrence Berkeley National Lab, Kitware, Tsinghua University, and etc, to provide efficient data management solutions for Big Data applications. ADIOS vastly improves application performance in various domains and is widely deployed on computing centers internationally. It is currently shipped with Ubuntu, Debian, openSUSE Linux distributions. In particular, it has been used by commercial applications including Numeca/Ramgen for gas turbine modeling, FM Global for fire suppression modeling.
