Dr. Liu's research has been fortunate to utilize some of state-of-the-art systems across the U.S. Dr. Liu's research is driven by real problems from real applications running on production systems, and his research group routinely runs production applications alongside their research tools on large systems to evaluate performance. Up till now, the team has been using the Titan system at Oak Ridge Leadership Computing Facility (OLCF), Cori/Edison at National Energy Research Scientific Computing Center (NERSC), Mira at Argonne Leadership Computing Facility (ALCF), and BDE SDN (Software defined networking + SDS (Software defined storage) testbed at Fermi National Accelerator Laboratory, for experimental research activities.
