Writing Styles

A Guide for Writing Research Papers is is based on a document prepared in 1995 by Patricia S. Burgess, Ph.D.and is based on styles recommended by
The American Psychological Association

Capital's GUIDE TO GRAMMAR AND WRITING, which provides hundreds of digital handouts about grammar and style, over 170 computer-graded quizzes, guidance on essay writing, and a place to ask questions about grammar and writing.

Dr. Abel Scribe's guide to APA Publication manual allows you to download a student guide to the style of the American Psychological Association, which is one of the major guidelines for journal publications.

APA Research Style Crib Sheet is an excellent summary of rules for using APA style.  Would recommend looking at this before going to the Dr. Abel Scribe's guide.

One of the classic references for writing styles is The Elements of Style, by William Strunk, Jr.  This site summarizes many of the key points of the book.
