Abhishek Mukarjee. I received my M.S. and M.S. in Mechanical Engineering from India. I am interested in fluid mechanics, heat transfer and thermodynamics. I joined NJIT after workingin the industry for three years. I was an engineer in charge of depicting the thermal profile and transient temperature distribution of the heat rejection system of auclear power plants. I was also involved with the design of the cooling tower height (NDCT) and power requirement (IDCT).
Currently I am pursuing PhD under the supervision of Dr. Simone Marras at New Jersy Institute of technology. My current research focuses on aeroacoustics modeling via high order Galerkin methods.
I enjoy movies and music. I am also a food lover and always fond of tasting different dishes. I love to travel and always try to learn various cultures and customs of different regions while traveling.
Abhinav Goel is currently an MS student in Mechanical Engineering at NJIT, and is working on Nonstructured Grid Generation comprising of triangular elements using MATLAB and Python codes. He has 2 years of working experience as a Design Engineer at Loesche GmbH, Noida, India. His areas of interest include Computer Aided Design and Computer Aided Engineering. When free, he likes to write blog posts, listening to music, and clicking pictures of almost anything that comes his way.

Matteo Fabbri. (Universita di Parma) Hi, my name is Matteo Fabbri
I’m an international graduate student currently attending NJIT for a double degree program in mechanical engineering.
I have a bachelor degree in mechanical engineering obtained at the University of Parma (Italy) with the thesis “Manufacturing of RFID UHF Tag: an experimental approach to quality control”.
I’m also studying for an italian master degree in “Engineering for food industry equipment” in University of Parma.
In addition I’ve attended during senior year, as an exchange student, the Circleville High School (Ohio) for a year.
I play soccer for a third division (Inter club Parma) team but I like also to swim and I like mostly all team sports
Luca Gandolfi. (Universita di Parma) I am Luca Gandolfi.
I am doing a double degree program for a master in Engineering for Food Industry Equipment at the Università degli studi di Parma and in Mechanical Engineering at the New Jersey Institute of Technology.
My background is Engineering Management, I am graduated in it with honors at the Università degli studi di Parma the 13th of October 2017, with a thesis in “Analysis of timing and methods of an assembly line and performance improvement”. My thesis is the result of an internal project of the company GEA Mechanical Equipment that I took part in during my 7 months of internship at GEA.
Brent Lunghino. (Stanford. Co-advised with Prof. Jenny Suckale) Brent completed his MS in Computational and Mathematical Engineering at Stanford. While at Stanford he researched coastal hazards from tsunamis. In this research he used numerical simulations to investigate how different coastal defense designs would reduce the impacts of tsunami inundation. Brent now works as an engineer at ClimateAI, a startup that helps businesses quantify physical risks to their assets due to climate change.
Songze Li (Stanford University. Co-Advised with Prof. Jenny Suckale.) My name is Songze Li. I am currently a master student of ICME at Stanford University, working with Prof. Simone Marras and Prof. Jenny Suckale on tsunami simulation. Before joining Stanford, I received a Bachelor degree in aerospace engineering from Beihang University, China, with a thesis on simulation of supersonic turbulence combustion. I did a summer research on Clawpack in Columbia University supervised by Prof. Kyle Mandli in 2015. I also worked as a visiting student on experimental combustion in Politecnico di Milano for a semester between 2014-2015. My main research interest is in numerical PDE, high resolution computational fluid dynamics, and uncertainty quantification.
