Information regarding your project presentation
What to do:
Prepare a 10-minute presentation (no more than 10 slides) to the class. Each team will be strictly held to this time limit. If you go over, your grade may be affected. Practice will help eliminate this problem.
How to do it:
All students should participate in the presentation. This means that each student should present 2 to 4 slides. It is up to you to decide the order of the presenters but the transition should be smooth. Your presentation should look professional, prepared with presentation package (e.g. Microsoft PowerPoint). Bring a laptop to connect to the projector and/or save your file on a separate flash drive.
An example presentation can be found in Appendix A of your lab manual (page 85). You can use it as a guide to construct your own presentation but feel free to be inventive and add new ideas.
Content:
- An introductory slide (Device Name, Team number, Team Members' Names, etc.)
- Introduction to your device (1 to 2 slides)
- A description of how it works (3 to 4 slides)
- Sustainability of your device (1 to 2 slides)
- Optional: Areas of possible innovation to improve your device (1 slide)
- Summarize the content of your presentation and the conclusions (1 slide)
Deliverables:
The oral presentation in class is the only deliverable. This part of the project has no written deliverable. At the end of each presentation, there will be a 2-minute Question and Answer (Q&A) session. You are encouraged to ask questions to the presenters during that session. Your questions will be considered as class participation and may improve your project grade.
Note: No make-up presentations
