NJIT EPS 202 Society Technology and the Environment


Welcome to EPS 202 Society Technology and the Environment . This course will be offered in a distance learning format.  Throughout the course you will utilize a combination of readings from the assigned textbooks along with internet based resources to master the concepts of solving environmental problems form a social science perspective.

The course is designed for self-motivated students who are committed to following a schedule composed of reading and writing assignments along with viewing streaming video. You must be prepared to spend a minimum of three hours per week reading the course assignments along with participating in class discussions and taking a  quiz each week via WebCT.

Throughout this course we will be in constant communication via email. I have high expectations for your personal success in the course and I will be available to guide you as we explore methods for evaluating and solving environmental problems through a perspective of the  social sciences. You in turn must make a commitment to follow the schedule and complete the assignments outlined in the syllabus.
