Fig. 1.   The observation of levitation of a magnet above a superconductor (at temperature below the critical temperature),  the Meissner effect, was the first test conducted by Heather, Illesh, Zabia and Marie (see 2004 posters for details).  In (a) the  black frosted cylinder floating above the liquid nitrogen generated "mist" is the small magnet.

Fig.  2.  Resistivity measurements were conducted using our cryostat system.  The measurements complemented the x-ray diffraction and magnetic measurements conducted on the samples (see 2004 posters for details).   Samples were made by attaching wires to a part of the pellet polished to produce a rectangular cross section.  The resistivity measurements were conducted over the temperature range 80 to 300K
