engines. In contrast to conventional microprocessors that have fixed hardware
capabilities and can perform general-purpose tasks, FPGA-based computing systems retain the execution speed of dedicated hardware
but also have a great deal of flexibility to tune the architecture at runtime to
match the specific characteristics of applications, resulting in much higher
utilization of silicon and better performance.
