In order to qualify for these positions, the ideal candidates should have excellent mathematical skills, good knowledge in machine learning, coding and information theory, a M.Sc. degree (or equivalent) in these or related areas, and a strong interest to pursue theoretical research.

If you are interested, please send me your CV  including a list of publications and a copy of your transcript together with a brief statement of research interests and a statement in which of the above research topics you are particularly interested in.

Joerg Kliewer

Joint postdoc position at ASU, NJIT, and ARL in Secure and Authentic Communications available immediately (filled)

A joint postdoc position at Arizona State University, the New Jersey Institute of Technology, and the US Army Research Laboratory in the area of secure and authentic communications, is available immediately. The successful candidate will be working with the research groups of Prof. Oliver Kosut and Prof. Joerg Kliewer in collaboration with the US Army Research Laboratory.

Specific topics of focus are secret key establishment and management in austere communication environments consisting of both traditional and quantum channels, where both practical aspects and a fundamental information-theoretic understanding will be considered.

The appointment will be for a period of two years. We are looking for strong applicants with an excellent theoretical background and a proven capacity for high-quality research in form of a strong publication record. Interested applicants should submit a current CV, a 1-page research statement and a list of three references.  Candidates should contact us via email at okosut at asu dot edu, jkliewer at njit dot edu and paul.l.yu.civ at mail dot mil.
