C0. Files also available in Canvas might be located here

Updated Canvas documents will be made available in this section. Canvas has synchronization problems when a document gets updated. If NJIT declares an emergency an in class exam might become an online exam. In that contingency the online exam would be in Canvas using proctoring from ProctorU Record+ (previously known as Review+). This is different from ProctorU Live+ that requires to book an appointment (with a live proctor) with ProctorU. Hopefully things will move smoothly and there would be no emergency! This explains the two ProctorU related links below.

C1. Midterm Performance and Exam Arrangements

Information will be made available in Canvas this semester. Links below will not be updated.

C2. Homeworks, Exams and Solutions

Homeworks are in Canvas Quizzes. For an online class (converged or otherwise) Exams are in Canvas Quizzes as well. Solutions are in the feedback you will receive in Canvas. A brief solution keys might appear in this section. A number of practice problems will be posted with some sample solutions. Before you work on those problems, first read the textbook, then your notes, practice with the problems we did in class, and then and only then try to solve these problems. Look at the solutions only when you exhaust all other alternatives. The programming assignment (mini-project) will be posted in Canvas Announcements. Solutions are not ordinarily provided however.

For class exams this semester, the exam problem statements are in canvas. After the exam is graded and after the grades are released through canvas, then and only then would sample solutions (or just a key) be provided as a Canvas Announcement along with statistics. No solutions for the final though answers get corrected.

C4. Statistics

Information will be made available in Canvas this semester. Link(s) below will not be updated.

C5. Previous Exams

Note. Note that material covered in class changes from semester to semester; new material is being introduced as needed, and some other material may be deemphasized or order of presentation changed. The location of an exam in syllabus might change as well. A three hour class has different number of exams and exams from an 80-minute class The material below is provided as is: we do not discuss solutions nor do we provide clarifications nor confirm or not proposed solutions. They are provided to show the structure of a typical exam in some prior semester. You may practice on it to assess coverage of material. It is also possible that some problems have become HW problems in later semesters. Note that a solution key is for multiple exams given. Isolate the solutions for the problems specified in the sample exam. From semester to semester terminology might change or get refined.

C6. Lecture Summaries (also known as Subjects)

DISCLAIMER: The included material DOES NOT substitute the textbook for this class. It is copyrighted material and therefore treat it carefully and lawfully. It should be used in conjunction with the textbook and the material presented in class. If a statement in these "notes" seems to be incorrect, report it to the instructor so that it be fixed immediately. These "notes" are distributed to the students of CS332 offered by Dr. Gerbessiotis at the New Jersey Institute of Technology; distribution outside this group of students is prohibited. The material below will be uploaded in due time; an upload message will appear as soon as the corresponding document is uploaded. Otherwise whatever appears by clicking the corresponding link might be incomplete or incorrect. An Errata file with typos.

Note that copies of these subjects listed below have been made available in Canvas Modules (eg the pdf of subject 5 in canvas module Subject 5). However, the Canvas Module copies WILL NOT be updated further; the uptodate or corrected version of a subject will only be accessible through section C.6, i.e. this area. Synchronization in canvas is tricky to be reliable when it involves updates.
