Standards Organizations Presentations

Everyone will work in teams of three for this assignment.

By 9/30 choose a standards organization that you wish to report on, and sign up for it in the WebBoard conference "Standards Organization Team signup." Only the first three people signing up will be accepted on a team.

The organizations will be listed in the Web standards list by September 28th.

Prepare a 2-3 page presentation about your organization. Post it as a text comment in the WebBoard conference "Standards Organizations" by Wednesday October 10th.

Include the following topics:

• Purpose of the organization as a whole
• Short history of the organization
• The standards it controls
• The standards process in at organization, including who participates (representatives from companies, governments, the general public, etc.), and how they are chosen to participate
• Anything else interesting

Then during the week of October 10th, everyone will read and comment on the various standards organizations.
