GX_Simulator may create magnetic flux tubes around an existent central field line, which upon selection, is displayed in red color, while a set of additional field lines passing trough a user defined circular or elliptical contour are displayed in green. In addition, a cloud of red points, laying on a circular surface centered on the central field line, and corresponding to a user defined cross-section, indicates the distance relative to the central field line at which the magnetic flux tube may influence the structure of the data cube model.

To create a magnetic flux tube, and establish or modify its properties, the user should follow the steps described here .
