The Task Manager page located on the SCANNER tab manages all the tasks related to the GX_Simulator's  image creation engine.

The toolbar menu of the Task Manager offers the options of starting, , pausing, , or aborting, , of all running tasks.

The Task Manager table displays run-time information about the state of the threads runing in parallel, the image row currently processed by a given thread, number of calls to each thread, as weell as any error message that might be issued by these threads.

In this version, the number of parallel threads used by GX_Simulator is fixed for a working session, but may be user selected at the time of launching the application as a command line parameters using the calling sequence

gx_simulator, nthreads

The default number of threads is 4, but a a number of 2 may be considered for a single CPU computer.
