Read our potential REU Projects to determine your research area preference and preferred mentor.

Provide a one-page personal statement describing your academic background, career goals, and how this experience will enhance those goals.

Submit your resume including courses taken, research/work experience, references list, and other relevant information.

Provide a copy of your official transcript.

Submit a minimum of one letter of recommendation, preferably from a faculty member in your major.

Complete the application form and submit all documents via the NSF Education and Training Portal.
Important Commitment Notice
All students must be able to fully commit to a 40-hour work week over the 10-week summer program. Students who engage in coursework or work outside their assigned research will forfeit their summer stipend.

- US citizen or permanent resident
- Currently enrolled undergraduate
- Strong academic record
- Interest in cancer research
- Commitment to full-time participation
- Available for entire 10-week period
