Application Instructions

1. Read listed REU projects to determine choice of project area.

2. Complete the application form. PDF

3. Provide a one page personal statement describing your academic background, career goals and how this experience will enhance those goals.

4. Submit your resume which includes information on classes taken, research/work experience, list of references, and any other relevant information.

5. Provide a copy of your transcripts. Unofficial transcripts are acceptable.

6. Submit a minimum of one letter of recommendation, preferably from a faculty member in your major. Faculty should submit these letters directly to nellone.e.reid@njit.edu or sagnik.basuray@njit.edu

** All students must be able to fully commit to the 40 hour work week over the 10-week summer program. If a student does any coursework, or work outside of their assigned research, the student will forfeit their summer stipend.
