Sergei Adamovich, PhD

Professor of Biomedical Engineering

Director of the Neuromotor Behavior and Neurorehabilitation Engineering Lab

 

Sergei Adamovich is a Professor of Biomedical Engineering and Director of the Neuromotor Behavior and Neurorehabilitation Engineering at NJIT. He received his master's degree in physics and engineering and his PhD degree in physics and mathematics from the Moscow Institute of Physics and Technology. He joined the Department of Biomedical Engineering at NJIT in November of 2003 where he founded and currently directs the Neuromotor Behavior and Neurorehabilitation Engineering Laboratory. Dr. Adamovich has over 20 years of multidisciplinary collaborative research experience with a focus on neuromuscular and neurorehabilitation engineering, neuroscience of human movement, and non-invasive brain stimulation and imaging. Since joining the faculty at NJIT, Dr. Adamovich has been awarded over $14 million in federal funding as a Principal or Co-Principal investigator. He has authored more than 100 peer-reviewed research publications. His publications were cited over 6,400 times, with an overall H-index of 43 and i10-index of 71 (http://scholar.google.com).
