SECTION A. Announcements

• (12/21, Updated 16:10) Course Letter Grades Statistics for the final exam have been posted in Canvas (Announcements). Letter grades will be inserted into Banner by around 5pm today. If something unexpected happens, this item will be updated accordingly, or an email through Banner will be sent out. Posting of letter grades to Banner was completed before 4pm.
• (12/14) PrP grading The grades are available in Canvas. Note that testing instances that check the integrity of your code are the examples discussed in the PDF document of the PrP (available in Canvas) or in class. Moreover for option 1, a file that contains all the examples is available in Section B in a .txt file named fileOption1.txt. That was the first test for Option 1 used (though in the testing we excluded the 15 print line to make testing simpler). Likewise for the hits and pagerank the simple graph used in the example in class (and thus discussed in the notes, handwritten or typewritten) was one of the examples.
• (12/9) Final Exam (aka Exam 2) NOTICE 2 The final exam is next week at 6pm, and its duration is that of Exam 1 i.e. 2hours (120mn). Logistics those of Exam 1. Exam instructions in Section C/under exams in file fin.txt (after the HW4 solution link/URL). 10 Questions but 8 problems (Q1 and Q10 are about the scratch paper).
• FINAL EXAM INFORMATION The CS 610 final exam is EXAM 2. Logistics are in Handout 1 (eg 360pt, 2hours). The CS 610 final is scheduled by the Registrar. See link below for the currently available exam schedule; monitor URL/link for changes. http://www.njit.edu/registrar/exams/finalexams.php. The material that will be covered includes (more details at the beginning of every online available subject) Subject 1 all the way through and including Subject 10 and Subject 13. Subject 12 was not covered in class, and Subject 11 was covered in class but will not be examined. For Subject 13 definitions re poly-time, decision vs optimization problems may only be examined. Text-book (GT) wise, this material is covered in Chapters 1-7 and Chapter/Section 9.3, and the outline/conclusions of Chapter 13. More detailed information is available on the front of each Subject that shows the correspondence to the textbook.

  • Chapter 5, Chapter 6 (but neither 6.3.2 nor the implementation related 6.4.3, 6.5),
