Semester Project - P3: Creating Input Files

Goal:

To apply the concepts and skills we're learning in class to a larger case.

Due Date:

See Syllabus

Assignment

Please review assignment P4 before doing this assignment

You will now write a program or programs to create 2 of the data files you designed in assignment P2. You can do this by using multiple display and accept statement or you could use a screen section with one display and one accept statement. See Chapter 6 for information on this.

When the program runs you should create 20 records for each file

Be sure to validate your data. Then when you are inputting your records, enter some bad data to test your data validation. (See Stern & Stern figure13-1 for an example.)

Submission

Staple everything together. Put the name of everyone in your group on the front. Be sure to include your names. Only one submission per group, please.

Turn in:

- a printout of your COBOL code for each file

- a printout of each data file - use a word processor to print out this file.
