Outreach Activities of our lab

Workshops for 6th and 7th grade students and teachers
No of participants
- in summer 2014 was approximately 50 students and 3 teacher/support staff
- in summer (23 July) 2015 was approximately 51 students and 3 teacher/support staff
- in summer 2016 was approximately 50 students and 3 teacher/support staff

Specific activities included
- a lecture on renewable sources of energy and role of batteries in transportation (notes in PDF format)
- Coin cell making

Workshops for elementary school teachers
- No of participants in summer 2015 was approximately 17
- Specific activities included an overview of the research activities, tour of our lab, and tensile testing of PVdF polymer
