John D. Carpinelli is a Professor of Electrical and Computer Engineering at the New Jersey Institute of Technology. He received the B. Engr. from Stevens Institute of Technology in 1983 and the M. Engr. and Ph. D. from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute in 1984 and 1987, respectively. His research interests include engineering education research, interconnection networks, and multiprocessor systems. He primarily teaches courses in computer architecture and freshman engineering. He is a member of the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE), the American Society for Engineering Education (ASEE), and the International Network for Engineering Education and Research (iNEER).
