Course Description:
This course will cover standard numerical methods, and the application of numerical techniques and analysis to some mathematical, physical, and biological systems described by ordinary differential equations. The primary focus will be on the analysis of various numerical methods, and this course will be continued to Numerical Methods II, which primarily focusses on more advanced numerical methods.
Specific topics to be covered include:
We use Atkinson's textbook "An introduction to numerical analysis".
These topics will be extended in Numerical Methods II.
