 Publication

Authors with abstracts accepted and presented in the Conference can submit their papers for Publication (see next Section). They can submit to either Energies or IEEE Magnetics Letters. Energies covers a wide spectrum of technical and non-technical topics related to offshore wind. It accepts review articles, perspectives, and research articles. Energies is an open-access journal, and it offers a discounted APC fee of $800 to this conference. The IEEE Magnetics Letters mainly covers technical aspects of offshore wind and it only accepts research articles. You may want to choose the journal based on the nature and theme of your paper. The papers must be presented in the Conference in order to be eligible to be submitted to these journals. There is no charge for regular publication; open-access publication is available for a charge.

Publication of the Conference papers in the Journal Energies (IF=3.2)

Authors with abstracts accepted and presented in the conference can submit a full manuscript to the journal Special Issue for this Conference. APC $800 (normally CHF 2200/US$2468)

Conference papers will be published in the open-access journal, Energies (Impact factor 3.252). There are several types of articles:

Article: ▪Original research manuscripts ▪>4000 words

Communication: ▪Short articles presenting preliminary results or significant findings ▪Structure similar to Article ▪>2000 words.

Review: ▪Comprehensive analysis of the existing literature ▪Identifying current gaps or problems ▪>4000 words.

Perspective: ▪Personal assessment of current developments and future directions ▪Situated in the context of existing literature from the previous 3 years ▪Expert viewpoint on topics ▪Forward-looking view on where progress in a particular field is heading ▪Structure similar to a review ▪>3500 words.

Special Issue Information:

Dear Colleagues,

We are pleased to invite you to submit your article from the New Jersey Offshore Wind Power Technology Conference and Exhibition 2023 to this Special Issue, entitled “Latest Developments in Offshore Wind Power Technology in the United States“, in the open-access journal Energies (IF 3.252).

The New Jersey Offshore Wind Power Technology Conference and Exhibition 2023 will be held on 4 – 7 December 2023 at the New Jersey Institute of Technology, in Newark, New Jersey. This Conference includes various topics on offshore wind power technology including operation and maintenance, condition monitoring, civil and mechanical infrastructures, control, wind turbine design, power systems dynamics, wind energy forecasting, planning, system integration and market participation, aerodynamics, industrial standards (IEEE, IEC) for HVDC transmission (standard track), workforce training, and socio-economic impacts of offshore wind power. The goal of the Conference is to serve as an annual event for gathering scholars from the universities, colleague from government, and engineers from industry related to the offshore wind power in New Jersey to have interaction, networking, and establish collaboration. It aims to provide an occasion in which individuals can find collaborators and meet experts on the fundaments, applications, and products of offshore wind power.

The submission deadline is 31 March 2024

Conference Special Issue Instructions:

Publication of the Conference papers in the Journal IEEE Magnetics Letters (IF=1.5)

Authors with abstracts accepted and presented in the conference can submit a five-page (maximum) paper, whether contributed or invited, for publication in IEEE Magnetics Letters (IML)  until 31 March 2024 (11:59pm, EST USA). The paper should be a research article containing mostly new results, as is appropriate for a letters journal.

Journal Information:

The regular editors will manage the review process. If your article is accepted, it will be published on-line, in preprint form, immediately after full peer review and your revisions. Several weeks later, it will appear as fully edited and typeset. Each paper will have its own article number and its own dates of submission and publication.
